Our Community
Cultural events and artistic pursuits are alive and well in Pend Oreille County. The region is extremely proud of the active Pend Oreille Playhouse Community Theatre, located in Newport, Wash. From one-act plays and workshops to concerts and lavish musical productions, residents experience all aspects of the arts.
In addition, the community enjoys the benefits of Create – a nonprofit organization that promotes individual as well as communitywide development of the arts: painting, drawing, dancing, photography … there’s truly something for everyone. Volunteers maintain this vibrant community center for the arts – and more are always welcomed and appreciated!
Finally, the Evergreen Arts Association promotes local artists by promoting their work in businesses areawide.
